Opportunity Profile:
POSITION PURPOSE Supervise, coach and mentor direct report employees. Recommend and/or make improvements in machinery and equipment. Ensure, during the production process, that all products and documentation are inspected and completed properly. Perform and oversee job functions in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines. Ensure compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Ensure that proper data is entered into the Log Books, Batch Production Records, Time Sheets and In-Process Sheets are filled in as required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Demonstrate strong supervision and management practices including leadership, appropriate communication modalities and subordinate team-building methods 2. Be responsible for the day to day management of direct reports, allocating resources to ensure minimum downtime and completion of scheduled activities 3. Provide training, guidance and coaching to line employees in a consistent and constructive manner 4. Be an appropriate role model for all employees, setting a positive example in the attainment of departmental results 5. Conduct root cause analysis on production issues and recommend or implement corrective actions, Initiate trackwise investigations and perform investigations on variations and deviations of processes 6. Track downtime and provide report to management 7. Review production records for completeness and accuracy 8. Maintain a clean work environment and appropriate employee practices which assures the safety of those under supervision 9. Write performance appraisals for direct reports 10. Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) regulations and Medicines and Health Care Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). 11. Work closely with peers to develop good team working relationship and cross shift team relationships

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree and three years of experience are required. Minimum of a Masters of Science Degree and one year of experience are required. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration. Be skilled at supervising work for a team of individuals with different levels of skills to enable them to achieve performance and quality standards. The ideal candidate must also have strong communication, time management, organizational, interpersonal and writing skills. Computer skills include: Microsoft Word, Excel and Lotus Notes. The ability to identify small defects and distinguish between shades of black.
