Opportunity Profile:
The Accounting Assistant, Payroll will support the Payroll Department in processing payroll on a bi-weekly basis and will perform all activities surrounding the payroll process, such as running simulations, sending bank files and preparing weekly reports.
The candidate selected will maintain and process voluntary and involuntary deductions, such as tax levies, document and update policies and procedures and provide support to field payroll locations in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as Federal, State and Local laws. Gathers and prepares documentation in preparation for SOX audit assessments.

Qualifications:
The qualified candidate will possess a basic understanding of payroll functions, as well as knowledge of a computer accounting environment. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, written and verbal, as well as demonstratively impeccable customer service, and analytical skills.
Qualified candidates will have the ability to multi-task, work in a team oriented environment, be proficiency in Excel, Lotus notes and Word. Knowledge of ADP and SAP preferred. The ability to handle very confidential information is required.
Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent plus two years of experience are required. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
