We are currently seeking an Applications Analyst in our IT Department. This role will reside in our Morgantown, WV location.
In this exciting role, the candidate will deliver support to end users in the organization about how to use various types of software programs efficiently and effectively in fulfilling business objectives; troubleshoot applications and software for all internal customers, such as operations, development, and other business units, and assist in the design, delivery, and improvement of in-house software applications.
Additional responsibilities include:
1. Creating, updating and maintaining software packages, images, and patches.
2. Monitor the client workstation environment using all available enterprise tools.
3. Monitor the inventory of approved workstation images for use in PC deployment.
4. Create and manage technical documentation for client management processes and procedures.
5. Monitor the collection, testing and release of patches and updates to the enterprise workstation environment.
6. Initiate and monitor the purchasing, assignment and retirement of desktop assets.
7. Develop utility scripts for use in the workstation environment.
8. Report usage metrics on aspects of enterprise workstation productivity tools.
9. Create and maintain enterprise workstation licensing and annual inventory procedures.
10. Create and deploy feedback mechanisms for end users. Analyze results, make recommendations for support process improvement, and implement changes.
11. Field incoming problem tickets from end users to resolve application and software issues within servers, databases, and other mission-critical systems.
Experience with the following is desired:
Enterprise client management suites (Altiris, Landesk, SMS, or similar)
SQL installation, troubleshooting and queries
Batch file and VB script creation and maintenance
Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems
Creating software packages for installation using industry standard tools (Wise Package Studio, Rapid Install, or similar)
