We are currently seeking a Tax & Treasury Intern for the summer of 2010 to work at our Corporate Headquarters located in Canonsburg, PA (Southpointe). The selected individual will spend the first half of the internship with the Treasury Department and the second half with the Tax Department (with applicable crossover).

Treasury Department duties will include:

• Assist the Director of Risk Management in the collection of US and international renewal data for Mylan’s insurance renewals (Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, Automobile, Umbrella Liability, International Liability, Product Liability, etc.)

• Prepare Excel worksheets and PowerPoint presentations for insurance underwriters (requiring analytical work to convert raw data into format required by underwriters)

• Develop SharePoint website for the Product Liability Renewal (assisted by Global Financial Systems)

Tax Department duties will include: • Compile and analyze information required to complete work papers for completion of income and franchise tax returns

• Compile and prepare supporting documentation for quarterly and annual financial statement tax calculations, including but not limited to the tax provision, deferred taxes and tax journal entries

• Participate in federal and state tax audits by gathering requested documentation, preparing supporting work papers and drafting responses

• Perform foreign tax credit calculations and modeling

Qualifications:
Applicants for this position must have completed their sophomore or junior year of college at the end of this current Semester and must be enrolled in college for the Fall Semester. Applicants should be enrolled in a related field of study.
