Mylan Inc. is currently seeking a Senior LIMS Engineer to work at our facility in Morgantown, WV.
This position will provide Laboratory Informatics technology implementation services with a focus on leveraging the LabWare LIMS Global Template. They will deliver business goal aligned software support services to global Quality, Research and Development, and Manufacturing organizational units.
Additional duties for this position include:
• Provide planning, design, leadership, direction, and advanced technical expertise.
• Serve as high-level technical expert in regards to enterprise systems and associated issues.
• Manage and train lower-level staff.
• Prepare, review and approve prototypes based on draft requirements employing high complexity software code and/or configuration elements.
• Prepare Requirement Specifications.
• Prepare, review and approve software code and/or configuration Design Specifications based on documented but potentially incomplete or ambiguous requirements.
• Review code and/or configuration changes for both self and peers.
• Author, review, and approve automated and manual scripts for OQ and PQ testing; Prepare, review, and approve implementation strategies and summaries; Prepare, review, and approve installation procedures.
• Ensure the efficient secure operation of LIMS computer systems, servers and network connections.
• Serve as top-tier support for Application Software Systems troubleshooting software subroutines and customizations; Perform application maintenance, monitoring and analysis, tuning, and support activities such as user administration.
• Serve as technical lead on medium-to-high complexity projects; Serve as lead analyst/investigator on high complexity support issues.

Qualifications:
This position requires a working level knowledge of general networking and computing architectures, software development lifecycle, application lifecycle management, and database system design. Candidates must possess knowledge of cGMPs, Pharmaceutical compendia, 21 CFR Part 11 validation and change control concepts and the ability to effectively apply those concepts to daily activities, system development, and system maintenance in the context of Pharmaceutical manufacturing and testing.
Other qualifications for this position include:
• the ability to develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
• skills/abilities in the following: client/server database development with LIMS BASIC, Crystal Reports, Structured Query Language (SQL), Oracle DBMS (ideally V 10g), Citrix, MS Windows platforms including MS server OS
• advanced competency in MS Office tools, Excel and Access
• Validation Practices and Standards (such as GAMP 4).
Preferred skills/abilities include:
• LabWare Pharma Kit v3 with a focus on Environmental Monitoring
• data warehousing design and implementation using BusinessObjects and/or SAP BW
• IBM AIX UNIX, MS SharePoint, DDE, MS Query, ZPL, HTML;
• SAP QM, Batch Manager, MM, PS and PM;
• HP Quality Center including LoadRunner, and QuickTest Pro.
A minimum of a Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Computer Science or related scientific discipline is required for this position, plus 2-4 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or a related industry (however a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration). Candidates must have completed the LabWare Systems Administration Certification (certification with LabWare LIMS V6 preferred).
